The instrument automatically combines energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) results with WDS operations using the embedded expert system. Integrated with the Thermo Scientific EDS NORAN System 7, the MagnaRay determines the elements to be analyzed simultaneous to the EDS collecting the data, providing unparalleled microanalysis results with confidence and accuracy. The innovative design makes nanoanalysis a possibility for the first time, easily operating at lower voltages than traditional WDS. Intensities of low energy x-rays can be 10 to 100 times higher than traditional WDS technologies enabling the MagnaRay to provide unmatched levels of application performance thanks to low-voltage and low beam current operating conditions. E: email@example.com W: www.thermo.com/microanalysis Belec Lab 3000s Spectrometer The Belec Lab 3000s is a proven, high performance spectrometer with low running and maintenance costs, an ideal spectrometer for the foundry environment. It is robust in construction and reliable in operation. Yet, amazingly, the spectrometer with electronics, computer and spark source weighs only 49Kgs. The lighter wavelengths of Carbon, Sulphur and Phosphorous can be easily analysed with excellent precision and accuracy. An open spark stand allows for greater sample-size flexibility. Consistent burn quality is assured by monitoring argon flow and pressure, prior to the automatic clamping of the sample. Options include wire, rod and tube adapters. An option exists to install a Remote Service System link to the factory and the software can be connected to your network and most USB options. The Lab 3000s is fully factory calibrated and comes with some re-calibration samples. Typical configurations have been Cast Irons, Ni-hard, SG-irons, low alloy steels, stainless and Mn steels. However, a suitable program can be devised to meet most production requirements. A Type Standard option, Grade sort and Specifications files are just some of the many software functions.
