From the 13th -15th July the Iron and Steel Institute of Thailand (ISIT) is organizing the Bangkok Steel Exhibition and Conference at the Royal Paragon Hall at the new Siam Paragon Centre. The subject matter for the event is "Competitive Position and Growth Strategy for the South East Asia Steel Industry in World Market". The finals of the Thainox Metallurgy Awards 2006 will be held at the show. This lecture competition for both under- and post- graduate level students in Metallurgy and Materials has been running since 1997. The show will also see presentation of the first Thainox Design Awards for the use of Stainless Steel under the theme for 2006 of "Street and Outdoor Furniture".
