38TH AUSTRALIAN FOUNDRY CONFERENCE 2007 Sunday 21st October to Wednesday 24th October Novotel Vines Resort Swan Valley Perth, Western Australia It is with great pleasure that the Western Australian division of the Australian Foundry Institute invites delegates to attend the 38th annual AFI National Foundry Convention to be held at the Novotel Vines Resort in the heart of the beautiful Swan Valley in Perth Western Australia from 21--24 October 2007. The Vines Resort combines excellent facilities and resources for presenters, exhibitors and delegates alike, together with a varied selection of comfortable accommodation, in wonderfully relaxing and picturesque surroundings. The organising committee intends to provide delegates with a comprehensive technically based programme with knowledgeable and respected speakers from Australia and overseas, presenting informative papers tting our theme. We will be featuring a Trade and Services Exhibition where exhibitors will have the opportunity to demonstrate the latest developments in their products and services. After each day s proceedings there will be a chance for networking and the renewing of old acquaintances during the social events that are planned for the conference. Partners will be well catered for, with a range of activities arranged for the enjoyment of all. Or you can just relax with a swim, a game of tennis, squash or golf. CALL FOR PAPERS The 2007 Australian Foundry Institute Conference Organising Program Committee are seeking submissions of abstracts for presentations at this meeting. Technical papers related to any area of Foundry and Casting are of interest to the committee. Each accepted presentation will be allotted a 25 minute presentation time with an additional 5 minutes for questions and program changeover.
