Metal Casting Technologies : September 2007
www.metals.rala.com.au IMF at GIFA 07 ADVERTISING PROMOTION 600 visitors from over 52 different countries, these are the numbers that features the presence of IMF at GIFA 2007 in Duesseldorf. Numbers that confirm the position of IMF as world leader for the production of No-Bake foundry equipment. This success goes along with the success of this event and confirms the choice made in these years and the affords made in engineering and manufacturing that have allowed us to introduce many new technical proposals. Big interest has been showed by the visitors for the new six machines exhibited, for the installations and the solutions proposed and for the new management software suite and the foundry production management program . More than 50 technicians and area managers have illustrated the huge 100 t/h mixer, the gravity moulding machine called FASTFORM being patented, the automatic closer requiring no human intervention for mould closing, the sand thermal reclamation plant, the high rate core shooter called POWER CORE . The exhibition has been the occasion to introduce equipment recently developed by IMF that due to lack of space have not been exhibited but that are certainly of interest: the ZERO IMPACT system to collect the castings from the shake-out, the PRATICOR 200L core shooter to produce large cores, a new multifunctional handler and a new concept shake-out. Out of doubt the interest showed for the foundry engineering services produced inside the company that allows IMF to offer to their customers plant systems and technological studies, market and economical studies aimed to develop compete production units. 2007 is therefore an important year for IMF, year of GIFA, year of success and celebrations: in fact 35 years of activity have been celebrated with a magnificent dinner cruise on the Rhine with 190 customers, the commercial network that all over the world represents the company and the tight co-operators from the various IMF offices.
